Inspired by the classic designs of luxury watches, with cutting-edge technology, the Huawei Watch redefines what we’ve come to expect from a smartwatch. Developed as a statement piece rather than a smartphone for your wrist, it combines elegant craftsmanship with Android Wear to deliver a new high-end standard for the category. It’s smart, redefined.
Created using sophisticated materials like a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, cold-forged stainless steel cases, and fine leather and stainless steel bands, the Huawei Watch’s style is just as advanced as its functional features.
Featuring iOS and iPhone compatibility, a compact design, and the sharpest screen of any smartwatch in the market, the 400×400 display delivers notifications, music from your phone, and more than 4,000 apps you can personalize and explore without being tethered to your phone – keeping you connected rather than distracted.
With a variety of watch faces to choose from, it’s ready to pair with any ensemble or occasion. Whether you’re getting ready to walk down the aisle, hike up a mountain, or step into an important meeting, the Huawei Watch seamlessly fits any situation while tracking your movement with built-in heart rate monitoring and exercise pattern recognition.
Finally, there is a stylish smartwatch for smart, stylish people.
Super sharp screen and so comfortable to wear.
I currently have owned a 1st gen Huawei Stainless Steel smartwatch which has served me very well over the last few months. I wanted something that was more water resistant that I can wear while running or doing outdoor actives. I was very excited to get the Huawei 2 smartwatch. It has many differences when compared to my first Huawei, some good and some bad. The watch itself is fairly large and about the same size as the gen 1. There is a difference with the screen. The Huawei 2 has a 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display 390×390 pixels with a PPI (pixels per inch) of 326 which is covered by Corning Gorilla glass. My first gen stainless steel Huawei has a 1.4-inch full circle AMOLED display 400×400 pixels with a 286 PPI (pixels per inch). Don’t let the smaller screen on this watch fool you. It has a much higher pixels per inch which really shows. Some of the watch faces I have tried look absolutely stunning. They are sharp and have bright, vibrant colors. Many people have told me that my watch is so clear. Setting up with my android phone was super easy. It only took a few minutes to have everything paired and my google account linked. Now about that band that it comes with. The Huawei 2 has an amazing black silicone band that is extreamly comfortable. I can easily wear it all day without any discomfort. I have even slept with this watch on without even knowing. Their next version should have a sleep monitor built-in. That would be great feature. The Huawei 2 lasts two full days with normal usage vs my 1st gen only lasting 1 day. This is because of the Huawei 2’s lower power consumption and larger 420mAh battery. The gen 1 only has a 300mAh battery. I really like how smooth the watch runs. It uses Android Wear 2 which has so many functions I do not even know where to start. One I really like is it knows when you are stationary for an hour and tells you to move around and do some stretches. I also use a app that reminds you to drink water which is something I do not do enough. Overall it is the best active watch I have ever owned.
More than a sport watch. Voice Control is a surprise for me.
It is fun to have my first Android wear. I own a few Garmin watches(and Sunnto as well long time ago). Initially I was curious about the sport feature of this Huawei watch but I found it a lot more to offer.
A good watch that meets my needs
I’ve had this watch a week now, and after a very rocky start I’m enjoying this watch. My previous watch was a Microsoft Band 2; a marvel of UI engineering combined with incredibly poor hardware reliability — the non-replaceable strap broke 4 times in a year and now its out of warranty). But anyway, I want to share my Huawei Watch 2 (HW2) experience to help others get to where they can enjoy this.
Keep a charger with you wherever you go
Feels like a sportier huawei watch 1…
I am an owner of the first huawei watch and I felt that it was the best of the first generation Android wear watches. I love that thing and still do. It was still purring along but I had been thinking about getting a new one and handing the old one down to my son. I saw a good price on the watch 2 and got it.
A great watch, though it may not be for everyone.
This is my second android wear watch. My first was the original Moto 360 which i owned for about 2 months before returning it. The moto watch was good but not good enough to keep. I decided to wait and try smart watches again in a couple of years. that time came this month.
AFTER 10 DAYS EXPERIENCE!!!
As I have mentioned in other reviews, I live overseas, out of the scope of Amazon delivery capabilities, so when I order I have to be certain of what I am purchasing as returning an item is not an easy matter for me. For this, I do a lot of research prior to the purchase and when I come across an issue after the purchase, I do more research before taking any drastic action.
